Chances are someone you know is caring for someone with Dementia.
But do you really know what Dementia is?
Dementia is not a specific disease. It's an overall term that is used to descibe a wide range of symptoms associated with a decline in memory or other thinking skills severe enough to reduce a person's ability to perform everyday activities. It is a chronic or persistent disorder of the mental processes caused by brain disease or injury and marked by memory disorders, personality changes, and impaired reasoning.
